Is Congress insulting you? Shashi Tharoor said- cannot be done so easily

New Delhi . Congress MP (Congress MP) Shashi Tharoor on Saturday supported the Central Government’s decision in which he has been selected to lead a delegation to lead India’s position on terrorism against Pakistan on a global stage. He said that he does not see any politics in this and when the country is in crisis, it is the duty of every citizen to serve the country.

After Operation Sindoor, seven all -party delegations will go abroad with India’s message not to tolerate terrorism. Out of these, four delegations will be led by leaders of the ruling parties while three will be led by the leaders of opposition parties. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor will lead a party. Tharoor said, “I do not see any politics in it. According to me, politics is not important till the nation is, when the country is in crisis and the central government asks for help from a citizen, what else can be answered?”

He said that Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju recently formally invited him for this responsibility and he immediately accepted it. According to Tharoor, his previous experience of handling foreign affairs will be useful for this responsibility. He said, “Everyone saw the struggle with Pakistan that lasted for 88 hours. In such a situation it is our responsibility to hear the united voice of India to the world.”

However, when asked if the Congress party is angry with his decision and why he has suggested different names for the delegation, Tharoor said, “You should ask this question from the party.” He also clarified that when he received an invitation from the central government, he informed the party. When reporters asked if the Congress party was trying to degrade him, Tharoor confidently said, “I cannot be insulted so easily. I know my ability.” He said that he is always ready when he gets the opportunity of service. He said, “National service is the duty of every citizen.” Shashi Tharoor insisted that when the country is attacked, then everyone is united and speaking in one voice is in the national interest. He said that this is his personal decision and he considers it his responsibility towards the country.

Meanwhile, Jairam Ramesh, in -charge and general secretary of the Congress Communication Department, commented on this entire incident, saying, “Being in Congress and being of Congress is a difference between both.” He also said that when an MP is made part of the official delegation in any democratic system, he should take the consent of the party. Ramesh said that at the government’s request, the Congress had sent the names of its four MPs, including former Union Minister Anand Sharma, party’s deputy leader Gaurav Gogoi, Rajya Sabha MP Syed Naseer Hussain and Lok Sabha MP Raja Brar in the Lok Sabha. However, the central government has only included Anand Sharma in the delegation.

The delegation led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor will go to America, Panama, Guyana, Brazil and Colombia. This includes Tejashwi Surya from BJP, Bhubaneswar Kalita, Shashank Mani Tripathi, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Sarfaraz Ahmed from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Harish Balayogi from Telugu Desam Party, Milind Deora from Shiv Sena and diplomatic Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
