Jalaun news: Last night, District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey conducted a surprise inspection of Government Medical College, District Men Hospital and District Women’s Hospital at Orai. During this inspection which lasted for more than three hours, he reprimanded the concerned officials on cases such as chaos, dirt and expensive medicines being purchased from outside.
The inspection started from the Emergency Ward, where the District Magistrate interacted directly with the admitted patients and inquired about the treatment status and directed the doctors to stay in uniforms during duty, put name plates and remain communicated to patients.
DM inspects labor ward
After this, the DM inspected the labor ward, where he inquired about the treatment and quality of food from the admitted maternity. Out of 36 maternities, 19 gave birth to girls, on which the District Magistrate directed the NGO and Child Development Department officials to fill the forms of Kanya Sumangala Yojana.
During the inspection, complaints of dirt, paan-masala and spit marks, closed toilets and water supply were obstructed in the hospital premises. On this, the DM directed the cleaning in -charge and strict action against the concerned ward incharge. He also ordered to install CCTV cameras in the hospital premises and collect fine from those who spread dirt.
Asked to buy from outside at expensive prices
In addition, the DM found that patients are being asked to buy medicines required for the operation at the hospital at expensive prices. The doctor concerned was given strict warning on this negligence.
At the end of the inspection, District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey clearly stated that negligence will not be tolerated at any level and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
