Jaunpur News: The Singramau police exposed a sensational murder within 24 hours under the campaign for crime and effective control over criminals under the direction of Superintendent of Police Jaunpur. Police arrested the old friend of the deceased and recovered pistols, magazines and cartridges used in the murder from his possession.
The incident took place around 9 am on 6 June, when Khanpur resident Hoshila Prasad reported that his 22 -year -old son Dilip Gautam was shot dead over a ground dispute. In this case, an investigation was initiated by registering a case against the police station Singramau.
The police came to know in the investigation that the deceased Dilip had a deep friendly relationship with Kudhua, a resident of Ranjit Nishad and was seen repeatedly in Dileep’s room at the time of the incident. On the information of the informer, the police team took prompt action and arrested Ranjit from near Hariharpur railway crossing.
Shocking revelations in interrogation
The accused said that he and Dileep were deep friends. During a conversation in Dileep’s house alone in the morning on the day of the incident, Dileep made objectionable remarks about Ranjit’s girlfriend, making Ranjit shot with a pistol kept with him. After this, he left the spot and went to his pathology lab and then hid the pistol in a pile of sand in the house.
The police team recovered a pistol, seven live cartridges and a khok cartridge used in the murder at the behest of the accused. The judicial process has been started by arresting the accused.

On June 06, a woman was written by a young woman on the police station, stating that the accused Sandeep Rajbhar was making physical relations by pretending to be married for the last five months. On May 28, the accused called the victim on a kiln near her house and raped her.
When the victim asked for marriage, the accused refused and threatened to kill him. In this regard, the police station Chandwak was registered against the accused under the Chief Minister 166/2025, Section 69/352/351 (3) BNS.
