Jaunpur News: The Jaunpur police administration has taken strict action on charges of threatening the petitioner Gauri Shankar Saroj, a resident of Baragaon, who filed a PIL. In this case, Inspector -in -charge of police station Mungarabad Shahpur, Dilip Kumar Singh, constables Pankaj Maurya and Nitesh Kumar Gaur were suspended late night by SP Dr. Kaustubh. Along with this, a light accountant has also been suspended.

Petitioner Gauri Shankar Saroj alleged that after filing a PIL related to the land dispute, Lekhpal and two soldiers pressured him to withdraw the petition. It is alleged that he was taken in the vehicle and taken to the police station for some distance and was released with two thousand rupees. When he complained to the high officials, the police station in -charge himself tried to take them under improper pressure.

The petitioner pleaded in the High Court regarding this entire matter. On the instructions of the court, SP Dr. Kaustubh himself investigated the case and took a disciplinary action against the policemen and accountants found prima facie and ordered the suspension. Also, a case has been registered against the four at Mungarabad Shahpur police station. The concerned accountant has also been suspended by the SDM of Machhalishahar with immediate effect. The case is now being investigated as per the instructions of the court, and the administration has clarified that strict action will be taken against the culprits.
