The same company had taken the contract of cleaning at Jhansi railway station for four years for nine crore rupees, which is going to end in September 2025 this year.
The contract for the cleaning system of Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi railway station was taken by Messrs King Security Guard Services, Lucknow on 11 September 2021. A sudden inspection is done by railway officials at the local railway station. During the inspection, it was found that the platforms have not taken care of cleanliness standards, and wherever the dirt was frozen.
Company was fined Rs 1.5 crore
Officers expressed strong displeasure over this. During this time, cleaning personnel were also given guidelines to take special care of cleanliness. In this case, the company has so far imposed a fine of Rs 1.5 crore by the Chief Health Inspector Tejpal Singh of the station, which is a large part of the total cost of the contract.
Railways are also serious about this matter. Railways had told the contractor that regular monitoring of his work was being done, and if negligent is done again, strict action will be taken against them.
