Jhansi news: Jhansi The efficient guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Deepak Kumar Sinha and under the leadership of Senior Divisional Electricity Engineer (General) Ashok Priy Gautam, Jhansi Rail Division is constantly working towards environmental protection. Mandal has taken several impressive steps in the field of green energy production. In April of the financial year 2025-26, Mandal recorded a saving of about Rs 2.15 lakh by producing 67750 units of electricity through on-grid solar plants of 554 KWP capacity.

The total solar production capacity of the division is 1204 KWP. Out of this, 640 KWP plants were located at Gwalior station, which have been removed in the Rail Coach Renewal factory, Jhansi due to the station redevelopment work. With this, the production capacity of the division has become 1204 KWP again.

Currently, the places where solar energy is being produced among the Divisional Railway Manager Office, Divisional Rail Hospital, Divisional Control Office, Electric Loco Shed, Rail Coach Renewal Factory Jhansi, and Khajraha, Chhatarpur, Dabra, Sarkanpur, Tikamgarh, Morena and Datia stations are prominent. Apart from this, the work of 10 KWP capacity off-grid solar plants has been completed on 13 other places of Mandal like Bharua Sumerpur, Chirgaon, Mustara, At, Atra etc., whose production capacity will be included soon. Also, the work of new on-grid solar plants of 400 KWP capacity will be completed at 8 places by May 2025. The Mandal aims to set up 640 KWP capacity off-grid solar plants at 145 crossing gates by June 2025 and 02 MW on 02 MW capacity on-grid solar plants by December 2025 by December 2025.

International Level Crossing Awareness Day: Precautions to drivers

Jhansi Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Deepak Kumar Sinha and under the leadership of Senior Circle Safety Officer Girish Kanchan, various awareness programs are being organized by Jhansi Rail Division on the occasion of International Level Crossing Awareness Day. Under this, programs were organized at various level crossings.

Gateman was counseled by the employees of the Safety Department. Along with this, the drivers standing at the level crossing gate were explained in detail about the precautions related to the crossing. People were also made aware through safety posters and pamphlet distribution to common citizens. Anil Kumar Mishra, SK Aggarwal, Neelu Kumar, SK Gupta, KK Dwivedi, SS Yadav, Ravikant and Nukkad team played important roles in running awareness campaign.

People were informed by the employees of the Department of Safety not to try to cross the closed crossing. Do not try to lift the boom barrier. Do not pressurize the gateman to open the gate. When the gate opens, cross it with your own lane, do not generate jam situation.
