Lucknow News: Lucknow, 6 July 2025: Mazdoor Movement Great, late senior journalist and labor leader Comrade K.K. Hind Mazdoor Sabha (HMS) Uttar Pradesh organized an important seminar today in memory of Vikram Rao and Comrade Siyaram Bajpai. The theme of this seminar held at Northern Railway Men’s Union (NRMU) Divisional Office, Charbagh, Lucknow was “Why movement is necessary for the strengthening of labor movement?”

Discussion on tribute to labor giants and current challenges

The seminar was attended by Shri Shiv Gopal Mishra, General Secretary of All India Railway Men’s Federation (Airf) and State President of HMS, as the chief guest. State General Secretary of Hind Mazdoor Sabha Mr. Uma Shankar Mishra, Senior Journalist Shri Ram Dutt Tripathi, Senior Journalist Mr. Mudit Mathur, U.P. State Minister of Working Journalist Union and Late. Of. Vikram Rao’s son Journalist K.K. Vishwadev Rao, Zonal Secretary of Airf L.N. Reader, N.E. Railway Mazdoor Union President Mr. Vasant Kumar Chaturvedi, State HMS Secretary Mr. Arun Gopal Mishra, former MLA and HMS Executive Member Dr. Mrs. Shashi Sharma, Mahila Anganwadi Employees Union General Secretary Mrs. Neelam Pandey, Zonal Secretary of Airf Mr. S.U. Several prominent leaders including Shah addressed.

Speakers themselves Comrade Siyaram Bajpai, Late. Comrade K. Vikram Rao, and ‘Union Didi’ among the railway laborers, the famous female laborer leader late. Saroj Dixit’s struggle, renunciation and achievements, highlighting him in detail and paid homage to him.

Resolve to make the nationwide strike of July 9 successful

Prior to the seminar, an important meeting of members of the State Executive Committee of Hind Mazdoor Sabha was also held. The meeting expressed serious concern against the government’s anti -labor policies, public sector privatization, and sale of undertakings. Instead of direct recruitment to regular category posts, unanimous decisions were taken to make the proposed nationwide general strike successful on the next July 9 on the call of central labor organizations in protest against the exploitation of workers through contract and outsourcing.

Comprehensive participation in seminar

The seminar operating HMS U.P. Vice President of K and NRMU Divisional Minister Comrade R.K. Pandey did it. In this, NRMU Divisional President Lucknow Mr. Vibhuti Mishra, Divisional Minister Factory Mr. Anoop Bajpai, U.P. State General Secretary of Steel Metal and Engineering Workers Union Shri Raja Ram Yadav, Late. Shri S.K., the son of Siyaram Bajpai Bajpai, Late. Representatives of unions affiliated to Hind Mazdoor Sabha from across the state participated along with Saroj Dixit’s daughter Mrs. Pallavi.

Especially the presence of Railway Factory in Lucknow and Lucknow division, state’s Anganwadi, electricity, MNREGA, Press, Chinese, Distillery, and representatives of the engineering industry was notable. The event emphasizes the mandatory labor unity and the imperative of movement among the current labor challenges.
