Lucknow News: An honor ceremony was held on Sunday at Trilok Nath Hall of Lucknow Municipal Corporation Headquarters. In this, the councilors of the municipal corporation were honored for getting third place across the country in the Swachh Survekshan 2024-25. On this occasion, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal greeted all the councilors by wearing Angavastra and appreciated the contribution to make Lucknow a pioneer on the path of cleanliness. Safai friends, municipal officers and employees who play an important role in this achievement will be honored. The event will be held at Jhulelal Park or Janeshwar Mishra Park.

Mayor Sushma Kharkwal said that this honor is the result of the collective hard work of Lucknow Municipal Corporation, all councilors and citizens. Our next goal is to finish first in the country in the cleanliness rankings. For this, all councilors will have to make the cleanliness campaign in their respective wards more effective and public participation based. The Mayor announced that a tricolor journey would be organized by the Lucknow Municipal Corporation soon, which aims to thank the citizens and make them aware of cleanliness. In which all 110 councilors, municipal corporation officers and employees will participate.

All councilors and officials pledged that in the upcoming clean survey, Lucknow is to work with full devotion and dedication to get the first place in the country. The Mayor said that Lucknow is making remarkable progress towards West to Energy and Zero West dumping, which is also a major achievement towards environmental protection. The activeness of the Municipal Corporation on the historical achievement of Lucknow and the participation of citizens has given a new direction to the cleanliness campaign.
