Lucknow News: Lucknow Municipal Corporation has started the process of issuing second installment of ward priority development fund to speed up the ongoing development works in the wards. Mayor Sushma Kharkwal has given instructions in this regard to Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar. The mother said that the development works will not be allowed to stop in any ward keeping in mind the basic facilities of the citizens. Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar has instructed the finance controller to issue a second installment of 50 lakhs immediately.
1 crore after the second installment is released
Earlier, the first installment of 50 lakhs has already been released to the wards. Now after the release of the second installment, a total development fund of 1 crore will be available to each ward. With this amount, work related to civil interest like road construction, drainage, street lights, drain repair will be done. The city commissioner instructed the Chief Engineer (Civil) and all Executive Engineers to contact the councilors of their respective zones and prepare a priority list of development works and send it to the headquarters soon.
Fund will be used transparently
This step will ensure that the works are selected according to the actual needs of the public. Gaurav Kumar said that the fund will be used with transparency, timeliness and quality. He instructed all the engineers to monitor the development works themselves and no negligence will be tolerated. Mayor Sushma Kharkwal expressed confidence that the councilors would prepare plans giving priority to the expectations of the public and play an active role in making Lucknow a developed, clean and equipped city.
