Mainpuri News: There was chaos in the town of Kishni police station area of Mainpuri on Thursday when the administrative staff took to the streets with a bulldozer of the Nagar Panchayat to take action on illegal encroachment. As soon as the roadside shopkeepers heard the thunder of bulldozers, there was a stir in the entire town.
Action taken on bypass service road
Under the leadership of SDM Gopal Sharma, CO Santosh Kumar Singh and police station in -charge Lalit Bhati, police force and Nagar Panchayat employees started removing encroachments. This action was taken on the bypass road and service line, where the shopkeepers had kept possession for a long time.
Citizens complained to DM on Samadhan Divas
Let us tell you that this campaign started when the citizens of the town had complained to the DM on the Samadhan Divas that the road has become narrow due to illegal shops on the roadside service line, due to which accidents are happening on the day. When small vehicles are unable to get out of the service road, high speed vehicles are hit on the main road.
Action taken on DM’s instructions
Strict action was taken on the instructions of DM. Bulldozers of Nagar Panchayat removed the roadside tin sheds, table-chairs, banner-posters and other items. The goods of the shops were filled in the tractor and sent to the Nagar Panchayat office. The station in -charge had already warned that the shopkeepers should remove the encroachment themselves, otherwise action will be taken.
Officers’ response
CO Santosh Kumar Singh said that “it is necessary to free the service line in public interest. If information about encroachment is found in future also, action will continue.” SDM Gopal Sharma said that this campaign is being run on the instructions of DM and it is priority to make the road smoothly moving.
