According to the report of the news agency, a major accident occurred at around 7:04 am on Saturday morning at around 7:04 am when a four-storey building in Janta Colony suddenly fell. 6 people died in this accident, while 8 people were injured. As soon as the information of the accident was received, seven fire brigade vehicles, NDRF, Delhi Police and relief-rescue teams reached the spot. Atul Garg, head of Delhi Fire Service, said that relief work is going on and efforts are being made to evacuate other people buried under the debris.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Lamba said that the dead include Mattalub (50), his wife Rabia (46), two sons Javed (23) and Abdullah (15). Apart from this, Zubia (27) and her two -year -old daughter Fauzia also died. Mattalub’s other son Parvez, his wife Sija, his one -year -old son Ahmed, and Naved (19) were injured. Govind (60), his brothers Ravi Kashyap (27), wife Deepa (56) and Jyoti (27), who live in the building in front of the building, were also injured in the accident. A local resident named Anees Ahmed Ansari said that the debris also fell on his building, causing minor injuries.

Local residents played an important role in rescue work. Many people were on the morning walk at that time and heard the noise and first reached the spot. A local woman Asma said that she came down after hearing the blast -like sound and saw that the neighborhood building had fallen completely. North-Eastern Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari posted on the X (Twitter) and expressed grief over the incident and said that the narrow streets (2-3 feet wide) of the area are hindering relief work.
