Merrut News: In the Lisadi Gate police station area of Meerut, a young man has been arrested for pressurizing the woman to convert through false identity. The police arrested the accused Mubsir son Zahid, resident Fatellapur Road, Lohia Nagar, Meerut near Pilokhari Bridge on 9 June. According to the victim, the young man married her in the temple by telling him the wrong name and religion. Later, when his real identity came to light, he abused and assaulted the woman, as well as forcibly changed religion, demanding Rs 5 lakh.
On the complaint, an FIR has been lodged at Lisadi Gate police station, in which a case has been registered under Section 115 (2)/352/308 (2)/318 (4) BNS and Uttar Pradesh Law under Section 5 (3) of Religion Prevention Act 2021 of the Indian Penal Code. The arrest team included police station in -charge Ashok Kumar, Senior Sub -Inspector Anil Kumar, Sub -Inspector Nitin Kumar and Constable Arun Verma. Police say that in view of the sensitivity of the case, the investigation is being done fast and the accused will be produced in the court.
