Mathura News: A major action was carried out on 23 July 2025 today, by the Mathura-Vrindavan Development Authority (MVDA). Under the suit number MTDA/ANIA/2024/00078, the construction of an illegal colony being developed by Sher Singh Putra Nem Singh was demolished. The colony was covering the illegal construction spread over an area of about 15000 square meters.
Investigations by the authority found that construction works, roads, boundary walls, drains and four pucca constructions were already completed by the builders. All this was being done without any valid acceptance and planning, which is a clear violation of the urban development standards.
The action to demolish this illegal construction was taken under the presence of the police force under the leadership of Nayati Police Outpost In -charge Shri Pawan Singh Chauhan. He was accompanied by Assistant Engineer Ashok Chaudhary of Mathura-Vrindavan Development Authority, Under Engineer Dinesh Kumar and other officers and employees of the authority.
With the help of JCB machine, roads built in the colony, boundary walls, drains, five constructions above the plinth level and four pucca houses were completely demolished. There was no untoward incident during this action, and the entire process was performed peacefully. This action has been taken in compliance with the instructions of the Vice President and this campaign will continue continuously against illegal colonies. The authority has appealed to the general public not to do any kind of construction work without valid acceptance, otherwise strict legal action will be taken against them. This action is an important step towards curbing urban planning and illegal encroachment.
