Mathura News: The Mathura Police has arrested an accused wanted under the POCSO Act taking major action. On the exact information of the informer, the Baldev police station arrested the accused from Avairani Square area at around 1:10 pm on Wednesday.
What is the whole matter?
The case is related to the complaint lodged by a person resident of Baldev area police station on 18 July. The complainant had said that his minor daughter was seduced by a young man and molested her, as well as threatened to kill her. Taking immediate cognizance of this serious case, the Baldev police station registered a case against the accused under the MU No. 205/25 Section 137 (2)/74/351 (2) BNS (Indian Justice Code) and 7/8 Poxo Act.
Police took quick action
On the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, the team of Baldev police station was active and was constantly looking for the accused. After tireless efforts, the team was successful and Arpit alias Yogesh (24 years), son Virendra Singh, resident of Karanau, was arrested from Avairani Square. The accused was absconding since the incident and the police was constantly monitoring him.
After the arrest, the police have initiated necessary legal action against the accused Arpit alias Yogesh. Police say that further action will be taken as per the law. This arrest reflects the seriousness and readiness of the police on crimes against minors.
