Meerut News: Meerut, Uttar Pradesh – A sensational theft of pure gold worth about one crore rupees from the bullion market of Meerut has finally been revealed. In the joint action of police station Dehli Gate Police and Swot Team I, the servant who was considered a trustworthy of the businessman turned out to be a thief. The police arrested the accused with stolen gold in just three days.

The arrested accused Nitin Verma (28), resident Ishwarpuri, Brahmapuri police station area, Parmanand Saraf and Sons used to work in a establishment. According to the police, on July 8, Nitin came out of the shop on the pretext of keeping one kilogram of gold in the strong room and escaped. The police immediately swung into action as soon as businessman Nishant Rastogi’s Tahrir was registered.
Under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Nagar and Jurisdictional Kotwali, Dehli Gate Police and Swot team got B.K. Nitin was caught near Maheshwari Inter College. 999.950 grams of pure yellow metal was recovered from him, the estimated price of which is about one crore rupees.
The arrest team included 11 policemen including Inspector Akhilesh Gaur (Swot), Inspector -in -charge Kamlesh Kumar, Sub -Inspector Shailendra Singh, Dharmendra Kumar, Kuldeep Gupta.
Police said that the accused will be produced in the court.
