Haapur News: A painful accident occurred on Monday evening near Shiva Dhaba located on the National Highway-9 (NH-9) of Pilkhuwa Kotwali area of Uttar Pradesh. The middle -aged man died during treatment of a seriously injured due to an unknown vehicle collision. The driver escaped from the spot after the accident. Police have started investigating the case by sending the body for postmortem.

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as 61 -year -old Raju, who was a resident of Valmiki Nagar in Daulatabad in Nagfani area of Moradabad district. Raju left the house on Monday morning saying that he would go to Ghaziabad. While returning, an unknown vehicle hit him strongly near Shiva Dhaba, causing him to be seriously injured by falling on the road. Passengers also tried to catch the driver, but he escaped along with the vehicle.
What did the police say responsible
Kotwali in -charge Inspector Patnish Kumar said that footage of CCTV cameras installed around the scene is being searched so that the absconding vehicle and driver can be identified. The relatives of the deceased have been called after informing them. The body has been sent for post -mortem and after getting Tahrir from the family, necessary action will be taken by filing a case.
