Monsoon Session 2025: The monsoon session of Parliament is starting today i.e. Monday, but before its start, the atmosphere seems to be tense. Opposition parties have made it clear that they will seek answers from the government on many important issues, which is clear that this session can be ruckus. In the online meeting of the India alliance on Saturday, the opposition had decided its strategy regarding the session. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself should make a statement in the House on matters such as Operation Sindoor, US President Donald Trump’s claims, Manipur violence, review of voter list in Bihar.
Government showed intention to discuss
The Rajya Sabha had an all -party meeting under the chairmanship of the House leader JP Nadda, which included leaders of BJP, NDA and opposition parties. In this meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the government is ready to discuss every issue, but the discussion will be done according to the rules and tradition of Parliament.
With this, let us tell you that the government can introduce eight new bills in this monsoon session. These include the safety of land-term sites, changes in National Sports Administration, Mines and Minerals Act and amendment in National Anti-Doping Act.
Opposition will raise these major issues
1. Operation Sindoor: The opposition alleges that no country stands with India regarding the operation vermilion against Pakistan. Ram Gopal Yadav of Samajwadi Party said that Muslim countries were with India in earlier wars, but now it is not so.
2. Trump’s claim: Donald Trump has claimed several times about mediation in the India-Pakistan ceasefire. On this, the Congress says that the Prime Minister himself should be clarified on such sensitive matters.
3. Border Security: Army officials have spoken of threat to dual borders (China and Pakistan). The opposition wants it to be openly discussed in Parliament.
4. Bihar voter list case: The opposition alleges that crores of people are being denied voting in the name of special revision campaign in Bihar.
5. Manipur crisis: The opposition said that violence in Manipur is not stopping and the Prime Minister should go there. The government is bringing some bills related to Manipur, on which debate is necessary.
6. Jammu and Kashmir: The Congress has asked to raise the demand to restore the status of the full state of Jammu and Kashmir in Parliament.
