Moradabad news: Former Moradabad MP and senior Samajwadi Party leader Dr. S. Talking to reporters late in the evening, T. Hasan accused the Yogi government of harassing the Muslims. Former Samajwadi Party MP from Muradabad, Dr. Hasan accused the government of adopting double standards and said that the government’s decision on the sale of liquor on the path of Kavad Yatra in the holy month of Sawan is discriminatory. Hasan criticized the decision of the Uttar Pradesh government in which the meat shops were ordered to be closed, while the sale of liquor was not banned.

Both meat and alcohol objectionable

He raised the question and said that if meat shops can be closed by citing religious sentiments, then why the liquor shops have been kept open? Dr. Hasan said, “The more culpable meat is, the greater the culprit is also alcohol. If the meat can hurt religious sentiments, then why not with alcohol?”

The former MP accused the government that he was avoiding closing liquor shops due to the revenue received from alcohol. According to Hasan, the sale of both meat and alcohol was banned during the earlier spring, but now only liquor shops have been ordered to cover, causing liquor sales to continue uninterrupted, while the livelihood of meat sellers has a direct impact.

He said that drinking alcohol during the month of Sawan in Hindu society is considered inappropriate and it breaks the purity of worship. He demanded that if the government really respects religious sentiments, the sale of liquor should also be banned.

S. T. Hasan’s clear demand from the government

Dr. Hasan made a clear demand from the government that either the sale of both meat and liquor on the Kandar route should be completely discontinued, or both should be allowed to be sold behind the curtain. He said, “Does the government get all the revenue only from alcohol? The purity of religion should not be ignored for revenue. Dr. Hasan’s comment has once again raised questions on the government policies released in Sawan. Now it will be seen that it will be seen what the Yogi government takes on this demand and whether the sale of liquor is banned on the Kanwar route.
