Pachmarhi. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Pachmarhi Sanctuary will be known as Pachmarhi Sanctuary. This is dedicated to King Bhubhut Singh’s environmental love and lifetime tireless efforts to preserve Pachmarhi with foreign forces. Information related to the life, struggle, valor and contribution of Raja Bhabhut Singh will be displayed in the sanctuary. This step will not only promote local pride but will also strengthen the identity of the sanctuary. It will be a symbol of historical and natural importance of the region.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the members of the cabinet before the meeting of the Council of Ministers at Raj Bhavan at Pachmarhi. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Raja Bhabhut Singh has had a great influence on tribal society. The stories of his valor are still alive in the consciousness of the Lokmanas. The meeting of the Council of Ministers has been held in Pachmarhi to remember the contribution of Raja Bhubht Singh. This is an attempt to bring the contribution of King Bhabhut Singh to the society.
Recalling Raja Bhabhut Singh, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Raja Bhubht Singh was the main ally of freedom fighter Tatya Tope in the freedom struggle in 1857. Due to his guerrilla war policy, Bhubhut Singh is called Shivaji of Narmadanchal. Madras Infantry had to be called only to catch Raja Bhubht Singh. Raja Bhubht Singh continued to struggle with the British with his army till 1860, the British continued to be defeated. The British were able to arrest Raja Bhabhut Singh after two years and the British hanged him in 1860.
The valor and sacrifice of King Bhabhut Singh has been kept alive by the Korku Samaj through folk songs and hymns. The villages, temples and folk culture of Pachmarhi region still recite their stories. King Bhabhut Singh was not only a warrior, but he has become a symbol of tribal consciousness and self -esteem. Raja Bhabhut Singh’s Veeragatha, British officer Eliot’s 1865 Settlement Report is also recorded. Raja Bhubht Singh is a name which is the pride of the entire Indian freedom struggle, not only the Korku society. His life is a lively example of tribal identity, patriotism, and spiritual power. The life of Raja Bhubht Singh is exemplary, it is the moral duty of all of us to bring the saga of his sacrifice and valor to the national stage.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that three Scheduled Tribes based conferences will be organized in June this month. The Baiga Conference on 7 June will be organized in Bajag of Dindori, coal conference on 9 June on Birsa Munda birthday and Sahariya Sammelan in Kolaras in Shivpuri on June 18. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that on completion of 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public welfare tenure, programs will be organized in the entire state from June 9 to June 21. Along with this, the birth centenary year of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vaypayee will also be celebrated. Vaypayee has a deep connection with Madhya Pradesh.
