Newborn Girl Abandoned in Toilet at Shravasti Hospital, Admitted to SNCU in Critical Condition | Shravasti News: श्रावस्ती में ममता हुई शर्मसार: मां ने नवजात को शौचालय में फेंका, हालत गंभीर

Shravasti news: While the word “mother” is synonymous with Mamta, sacrifice and love, a case has come up from Shravasti which tarnished the word. On Sunday, a woman threw her newborn girl into an emergency ward toilet in the Joint District Hospital, Bhinaga and escaped.

The incident came to know about the incident when a female sweeper went to the toilet, where she found a newborn girl near the seat. Seeing the girl, she got nervous and immediately informed the other staff. After hearing the noise, Dr. Dharmendra picked up the girl and found her alive. He was then admitted to SNCU (Special Newbourne Care Unit).

SNCU in -charge Dr. MM Swamy said that the condition of the girl is critical. She appears to be a victim of malnutrition and is much lower than normal. The girl is being given full medical facility.

Police also called on the spot

Police were also called on the spot as soon as the incident was reported. The police went to all the wards of the hospital and inquired, but no information could be found about the newborn’s mother or family. According to the police, the case is being seriously investigated and the accused woman is being identified through CCTV footage.

It is worth noting that last month also the incidents of the bodies of newborn children were found in the district, due to which there is deep concern in the society. This incident once again questions social and moral values.
