Now US President Donald Trump has claimed that there is going to be a trade agreement between India and the US and it will be a very big deal just like China (China). The US President said that it is now India’s turn after China. At an event at Washington DC on 26 June, Trump said that the US has just entered into an agreement with China. There is going to be a very big agreement with India. However, he did not give any information about what will be in this agreement and where the conversation between the two countries has reached this issue. At the same time, India has made it clear to America that the agreement will be made only when the deal will be beneficial for both countries.

It is clear from this statement that the US, especially the Trump administration, intends to give a new direction to business relations with India. Today, India has become the fifth largest economy in the world and the US is redefined its strategic partnerships amidst major changes in global supply chains. Trump also said that America will not trade with every country. We will send only one letter to some countries and say – Thank you – but now you have to pay 25, 35 or 45 percent fee, he clarified.
