India-pakistan ceasefire: The Indian Army has clarified the situation on the rumors coming up about the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. The official statement issued by the army said that some media reports claimed that the ceasefire agreement between the two countries is ending today and the DGMO level talks are going to be held. Confusion arose due to these reports.
Army statement, ceasefire continues
The Indian Army completely dismissed the reports and said that there has been no such thing as ending the ceasefire agreement with Pakistan and the agreement is still effective as it was earlier. The army also clarified that there is no DGMO level meeting or negotiation on this day.
No expiration date yet
According to the army, it was agreed to maintain a ceasefire in the DGMO talks between India and Pakistan on May 12. No termination date of this consent was fixed. That is, this agreement will be effective indefinitely.
Questions raised on media reports
For the past few days, it was being claimed on some media channels and portals that the India-Pakistan ceasefire period was ending and preparations for a high level meeting are being made. It has now become clear from the latest statement of the army that all these reports are baseless and no step has been taken like ending or reviewing the ceasefire.
