Old and new teachers of UP will not be given the benefit of old pension scheme, government clarified

Old Pension Scheme News: There are some old teachers in Uttar Pradesh who will not be given the benefit of old pension scheme and we will not get the benefit of old pension scheme for more than 35000 council teachers appointed through specific BSTC batch 2004. A meeting of the Representative MLA Committee of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly was held on 16 April and in this regard, Secretary of Basic Education Council Surendra Kumar Tiwari has made it clear here in a letter sent to Special Secretary Basic Education that these teachers are no longer guessed the benefit of the old pension scheme.

Special BTC 2004 batch teachers who were questioned through MLC Arun Kumar Pathak that the advertisement released on 14 January 2004 and 20 February 2004, through which the 6 -month training of the selected candidates was started in August 2004. The deployment was delayed due to departmental delay and they got deployment in December 2005 and January 2006. A letter was issued on 31 October 2005. In which this advertisement has been declared from NCERT in 2004 itself. Therefore, new advertisements are no longer needed. In the mandate of 4 January 2004 and January 22, 2004, it was also clarified that after completing the training, the honorarium would be given in ₹ 2500 per month until the assistant is appointed to the post of teacher.

These facts are completely clear from the fact that specific BTC 2004 training which was a part of advertising recruitment. Based on the arrangement of 28 June 2024, the benefit of the old pension scheme will be provided on the basis of the option of these teachers. However, through Secretary Surendra Kumar Tiwari, several orders of the High Court were also cited and these arguments were completely rejected. The Secretary also says that 35708 candidates were appointed in December 2005 only after training under the specific BTC 2004 batch. In 2004, the training was also invited to applications.

Based on the rule of Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department Teacher Placing Rules 2008, service period refers to the period of regular work as a teacher. The advertisement was also mentioned in a letter released on 31 October 2005. On behalf of the teachers, MLC Arun Kumar Pathak had raised important questions here, you are told that 35000 teachers will no longer be given the benefits of this old pension scheme. The letter released on 31 October 2005 also mentions the advertisement but the Basic Education Department has also made it clear that the benefit of OPS will not be given.
