Thousands of rural women have been strengthening their economy by joining this. In view of the success of Balini Milk Producer Company in Bundlekhand, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has formed Shri Baba Gorakhnath Kripa Milk Producer Organization (MPO) under the National Rural Livelihood Mission in Gorakhpur. Its results are very encouraging in just one and a half years. Showing the way of self -sufficiency to 25 thousand women of Gorakhpur division, this MPO has contributed more than Rs 50 crore to the rural economy. While 1445 women have become Lakhpati Didi. One of these Kaushalya got an opportunity to share his experience with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at a program related to animal husbandry in Lucknow today. This MPO is also imparting training in capacity promotion and leadership skills to shareholder women.
Seeing the successful participation of women through Balini Milk Producer Company of Bundelkhand in the dairy area, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had instructed to create five milk producer organizations in the state in collaboration with the National Dairy Development Board under the Mahila Samarth Yojana of Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission. One of these Shri Baba Gorakhnath Kripa Milk Producer Organization was formed in Gorakhpur in 2022. The work area of this MPO is the four districts of Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Deoria and Kushinagar. This MPO has started working for the last one and a half years and in this short period, 25 thousand women of 500 villages have become shareholders in the four districts. Currently, about 62 thousand liters of milk is being compiled by MPO through 500 milk pooling points. These women shareholders have so far raised equity capital of more than Rs 1.66 crore. Talking about the average income of women associated with MPO, they are receiving income of seven to eight thousand rupees per month.
Dhanraj Sahni, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shri Baba Gorakhnath Kripa MPO, says that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed more and more cattle -owned women to make shareholders and increase milk collection. For this, the help of the officials of the State Rural Livelihood Mission is being taken. It is expected that by March 2026, 300 of Gorakhpur division and milk producing women of villages will be connected to MPO and the number of shareholders will be 40 thousand with it.
10 women earning more than 1 million
An cattleman women have moved forward on the path of self -sufficiency by becoming a shareholder of Shri Baba Gorakhnath Kripa MPO. They are able to increase family income by earning income by joining the work of milk production and collection. The CEO of the MPO says that in a year and a half, 1445 thousand shareholder women have become millionaires. All of them have earned more than one lakh income.
There are also ten women who have deposited milk worth more than Rs 10 lakh in a year. The female shareholder of the MPO also provides facilities for animal feed and mineral mixture, animal dysfunction check, animal artificial insemination registration from the company. Apart from this, they are also provided information related to the health of animals and more milk production.
Number of cows by joining MPO, income of Rs 11.50 lakh in a year: Kaushalya
The animal husbandry department’s important program in Lucknow on Saturday included Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s experience, Mr. Baba Gorakhnath Kripa MPO’s millionaire Didi, Barhi resident Kaushalya. He told that earlier he had three cows. After joining the MPO, there are now ten cows. She collects 70 liters of milk per day in MPO. She told the Chief Minister that she had earned an income of Rs 11.50 lakh in a year.
Initiative to enhance leadership skills with training
According to Dhanraj Sahni, CEO of Shri Baba Gorakhnath Kripa MPO, initiative is also being taken to provide training to develop leadership skills among the members of MPO. In this connection, the milk producers of Gorakhpur and Deoria districts were given a two -day training by trainers Sarabjit Bhattacharya and Pragya, who came from the National Dairy Development Board.
