New Delhi . In West Asia, Pakistan has come into active mode amid the growing war (WAR) and stress. He has openly announced the support of Iran (Iran). Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that Pakistan will support Iran on the United Nations, OIC and all other international forums. Not only this, Pakistani Saudi Arabia and Qatar are also increasing their proximity amid tension in the Middle East. The Pak government met the diplomats of Saudi Arabia and Qatar and discussed the changing situation.
The official statement issued by the Pak Foreign Office said that Pakistan expresses deep concern over the stress that is becoming a threat to regional security and urges all sides to follow restraint and international law.
Telephone conversation with Iranian President
Prime Minister Sharif on Tuesday interacted with the telephone with Iran’s newly elected President Masood Pipeshkian. During this, Sharif said that Pakistan is closely watching the developments of West Asia and considers dialogue and diplomacy for peace establishment as the only way.
He insisted that Pakistan fully supports the sovereign rights and self -defense of Iran. Sharif reiterated that Pakistan recognizes Iran’s right to self -defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.
Iran appreciated Pakistan’s support
Iranian President Pageshkian also thanked Pakistan for the support taken during the crisis. He appreciated Pakistan’s creative role in the peace process and believed that Pakistan had emerged as a theoretical and permanent ally in this difficult time.
This is the second time the two leaders interacted on telephone during the recent struggle. Earlier on 14 June, Sharif strongly condemned the attacks carried out by Israel on Iran and described it as a violation of sovereignty and international law.
Saudi Arabia promises strong support
Prime Minister Sharif also met Saudi Arabia Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al Malki on Tuesday and said that Pakistan stands with full solidarity with people with Saudi Arabia’s brotherhood. He wrote on social media, “Pakistan will continue to work closely with Saudi Arabia for peace in the region through dialogue and diplomacy.”
Qatar also supports
Sharif also met Qatar’s Ambassador Ali Mubarak Ali like Al-Khatar and said that Pakistan stands with the rich and public of Qatar, especially after the attack on the American military base ‘Al Udid Airbase’.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office said in a statement, “We express deep concern over the stress arising after the attack on the American hideout in Qatar and urge all sides to be restrained and behave according to international law.”
