India-Pakistan News: A peace talks have now come to light amid increasing tension between India and Pakistan for the last few weeks. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has proposed talks to India. However, India has already made it clear that any kind of dialogue is not possible until Pakistan takes concrete steps against terrorism. Shahbaz Sharif made this statement on a visit to Kamra Airbase in Pakistan on Thursday. He said that Pakistan wants to talk to India “for peace” and it should also include the issue of Kashmir. He was also accompanied by Pakistan Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khwaja Asif and Army Chief General Asim Munir.

There was a terrorist attack in Pahalgam

The statement came at a time when the recent military clashes between India and Pakistan brought stress to the peak. In the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, 26 tourists were targeted by terrorists, causing huge outrage in India. In response, India carried out a surgical strike in Pakistan occupied Kashmir on 6 and 7 May and demolished 9 terrorist bases. More than 100 terrorists are reported to have been killed in this.

Following this action, Pakistan tried to retaliate, in which drone and missile attacks were carried out on India. But the Indian Army thwarted every attack and retaliated and targeted several important bases, including the Pakistani airbase. After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the country, clearly said that the talks with Pakistan will now be only on PoK and terrorism.
