18 departments will have to collect data together, 14 months deadline fixed by the government, urban bodies will get strength

In the cabinet meeting of Mohan Sarkar held in Rajwada, where Indore Metro Metropolitan Region was cleared, now efforts have been intensified to implement it at the government level. 18 departments have been included in this, which will obtain the necessary data and then on the basis of the road network as well as planning and development related planning will be done. For the next 15 years, the draft of Metro Polliton Region will be prepared, so that according to the growing population during this period and its need, development works can be done in five districts including Indore and development works related to the scheme for infrastructure.
Based on the report received from 18 departments in the next 14 months, a draft of the metro Politon Region will be prepared, in which data related to traffic, land use, agriculture, industry, environment, water resources, employment and other areas will be collected and then the tender will be issued to make DPR and then the selected company will have to prepare the report on the basis of priorities of engineering scheme, cost, estimation and development works. Its time limit has also been fixed at 14 months. This will strengthen the administrative capacity of urban bodies and will get the status of city council to large panchayats and urban facilities are also to be expanded. The Indore region includes 5 villages, including Indore, Dewas, Ujjain, Dhar and Shajapur, which is having a total area of 9336.10 square kilometers. This includes 1756 villages of 29 tehsils, including modernizing the public transport system as well as priority to projects like Ring Road and Metro Rail. Along with this, planning of Bhopal Metro Politon is also going on, due to which an economic corridor will also be developed between Indore and Bhopal, which will add industrial areas like Pithampur, Dewas, Nagda, Shajapur. Currently, the government is preparing Madhya Pradesh Metro Polliton Planning and Development Act-2025 and this bill will be presented in the assembly in the upcoming monsoon session. On the lines of Indore, Bhopal region has included a total of 96000 square kilometers of area, which includes areas of Sehore, Vidisha, Raisen and Rajgarh districts besides Bhopal. Both metro polytons will include urban as well as rural areas and a high level committee will be formed for implementation on it, which will be headed by the Chief Minister and the Principal Secretary or Secretary level officer will be entrusted with the commissioner so that it can easily coordinate with the collectors of all the districts as well as the authorities of all the districts. The Minister of Urban Administration and Development will be the vice -president in this, while the Chief Secretary, the Director of the city and village investment and the metro rail corporation, Railway BSNL and representatives of the concerned municipal corporations, municipalities will also be present. The Indore Development Authority was given the responsibility of preparing the Metro Politon Region and the first phase of work has been completed. Now after getting data from the concerned departments, its format will be published. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was engaged in its process for the past one year and he continued to say to public forums after the formation of Indore-Bhopal Metro Polliton and due to his wish, it was approved in the cabinet meeting held in Indore. Along with that, the master plan of Indore will also have to be brought now.
