PM Modi Inaugurates & Lays Foundation for ₹5400 Crore Projects in Durgapur, West Bengal; Highlights City’s Crucial Role in India’s Development | PM Modi: पीएम मोदी ने कहा भारत के विकास में दुर्गापुर की भूमिका अहम, ₹5400 करोड़ की परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन-शिलान्यास

PM modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth about Rs 5400 crore in Durgapur, West Bengal. These projects mainly belong to Bankura, Purulia and Durgapur regions. On this occasion, PM Modi said that Durgapur’s role is important in India’s development and it will increase the connectivity of Rs 5400 crore, which will further strengthen its identity as ‘Steel City’.

PM Modi emphasized that these projects will help West Bengal to move forward with the mantra of ‘Make in India’ and will also create new employment opportunities for the youth of the state. He said that a major aspect of change in India is the development of basic facilities, in which other states of the country including West Bengal are getting the benefit of internet for more than 4 crore poor, new highways, new roads, and house-to-house internet. He informed that the land of Durgapur has now become part of the National Gas Grid, which will provide employment to thousands of people.

Develop India by 2047

The Prime Minister said, “We have to develop India until 2047.” He told that today there is a discussion of the resolve of developed India all over the world, behind which there are changes seen in India on which the building of developed India is being constructed. A major aspect of these changes is India’s infrastructure.

PM Modi said that along with being Durgapur, ‘Steel City’, there is also a major center of India’s manpower. He informed that all the projects worth Rs 5,400 crore have been inaugurated and founded here, they will all strengthen the connectivity here and will strengthen gas-based transport and economy. He also informed that in the last 10 years, a lot of work has been done on gas connectivity in the country, LPG has reached every household, and ‘Pradhan Mantri Energy Scheme’ has been prepared while working on the ‘one nation, one gas’ vision, under which pipelines are being laid in six eastern states of India including West Bengal.

The Prime Minister said that there is only one goal in the whole country – converting India into a developed country. He said that his mission is based on the principles of compassion through empowerment, self -sufficiency through employment, and good governance through development.
