Raebareli News: A painful accident has come to light in Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh, where five people who came to immerse the bone in the Ganges river drowned in deep water. Three people died tragically in this accident, while two people were taken out by local divers safely.
According to the information, nine people living in Jagdishpur town of Amethi district came to the Ganges Ghat under the Dalmau Kotwali area to immerse their families. After the bone immersion, all the people went to bathe in the Ganges, when the accident happened. Local people said that five people went into deep water and started drowning. The incident caused screaming there. Local divers immediately carried out rescue operations and took two people out safely, but three people died.
On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took all the bodies and sent it for postmortem. The police is engaged in further action. There is a wave of mourning in the family of the deceased since the accident. In Hinduism, the river Ganges is considered sacred and salvation. By immersing bone, the soul of the deceased attains salvation and heaven. According to Garuda Purana, bone immersion is considered extremely necessary for the liberation of the soul and attaining salvation.
