Sea: In the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh (Madhya Pradesh), the Veerangana Rani Durgavati Tiger Reserve Reserve Reserve Reserve Reserve Reserve Reserve Reserve Reserve. Actually, Wildlife Institute of India Dehradun has identified two new places for the settlement of leopards. In addition to the Banni Grassland Reserve of Gujarat, Sagar’s Tiger Reserve has been included.
WII is also the nodal agency of the Cheetah Project in India. It is believed that by next year, there will be shifting of cheetahs here. If this happens, the Veerangana Rani Durgavati Tiger Reserve will be the first such wildlife area in the country, where three members of the Big Kate Family will be seen simultaneously. Right now there is the settlement of tiger and leopard in the reserve.
With the arrival of cheetahs in the Sagar Tiger Reserve, there will be three species of this family. Let us know that WII first identified this tiger reserve of Sagar in the country for the settlement of cheetahs in the country. In the year 2010, a survey was conducted here, in which the three range of reserve, Muhali, Sinhapur and Jhaanna were considered to be compatible with the habitat of the cheetah.
Dr. VB Mathur, DIG, National Tiger Protection Authority and a senior scientist of WII, along with Deputy Director Dr. AA Ansari, inspected the above three range of Veerangana Rani Durgavati Tiger Reserve for two days of the said three range, waterfall and Sinhapur for two days. According to experts, these three range are an ideal place for the safety of cheetahs. There are long plains here. In which this creature will be able to hunt by running. The area of these three range is about 600 square kilometers. While the entire area of Sagar Reserve is 2339 km.
There will be the first experiment for the country and the world, under which cheetah-tiger and leopard will remain together. The Tiger Reserve Sagar has become mainly of hair shelters. In such a situation, the question has often been raised by wildlife experts whether the cheetah can be brought here after the settlement of the tiger. Will they be able to survive here? In response, other wildlife scriptures say that this is possible. Because the way of hunting cheetahs, leopards and tigers and their target animals are different.
The tiger hunts nilgai, buffalo and small animals of deer species. At the same time, the leopard hunts middle -class animals like wild pig, deer, nilgai, buffalo children. While the cheetah hunts animals like small size deer like chital, black deer and rabbit. Now the matter of these three animals coming face to face, always keeps distance from the cheetah, tiger and leopard. This is possible in the same way that leopards also survive with the tiger.
