Sambhal news: There was chaos in the Kotwali area of Sambhal on Sunday morning when an elderly person was killed and three kanwadis were injured in a collision with a bike rider going to Kavad. The condition of one of the injured is said to be critical. The police have taken the body and sent it for postmortem and the injured have been admitted to the district hospital.
The accident took place near Ladam Sarai on Bahjoi Road in Sambhal Kotwali area. According to the information, the bike of about 30 kanwadis was left from the village Shyampur in Dhanari area to take Haridwar Kavad. When these people reached near Ladam Sarai, an elderly man suddenly got hit while crossing the road. The elderly died on the spot due to a high speed bike collision and three kanwadis fell on the road and were seriously injured.
On receiving the information of the accident, the police reached the spot and the injured were sent to the district hospital with the help of an ambulance. At the same time, the dead body was identified and the body was sent for post -mortem. After the incident, there was a tension situation on the spot for some time. Angry Kanwari blocked the road for a while. However, the police controlled the situation in time. Currently, the police is investigating the entire case and informed the families of the deceased. Police say action will be taken against the culprits.
