Sambhal news: A major accident took place with the devotees who went on a Kanwar yatra in Asmoli police station area of Sambhal district. The incident occurred near Maatipur village, where a high speed tractor hit the bike rider Kavandi. In this horrific accident, one Kanwariya died on the spot, while three others were seriously injured.
According to the information, about 30 bike riders were going from Sambhal to Haridwar to fill water. As soon as his batch reached Maatipur, an uncontrolled tractor coming from the front hit him. The collision was so tremendous that four kanwadis fell on the road, one of which died on the spot. Soon after the accident, there was a scream on the spot.
Slogans against police-administration
Angry with this incident, Kanwari blocked the road and started shouting slogans against the police-administration. Kanwari says that the ambulance did not reach the spot for about 45 minutes, due to which the injured could not get timely treatment.
Meanwhile, the tractor driver escaped from the spot after the accident. The police have started investigation by taking the tractor in possession. The body of the deceased has been sent for post -mortem and the injured Kanwari has been admitted to the nearest hospital. Police officials reached the spot and pacified the people and restored traffic. At present, the police is engaged in a thorough investigation into the case and the search for the absconding tractor driver is going on. This incident questions the security system during the Kandar Yatra.
