Siddharth Nagar News: In the Kapilavastu police station area of the district, a joint team of police and SSB, while taking major action on drug smuggling, arrested an accused with 5.19 grams of smack (heroin) and motorcycle used in the incident. The arrested accused has been sent to the court.

The action was taken under the order of Superintendent of Police Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, direction of Additional Superintendent of Police Prashant Kumar Prasad and under the leadership of Jurisdictional Sadar Mayank Dwivedi and under the leadership of Police Station Brijesh Singh. The police and SSB team got success during the checking campaign near Indo-Nepal Border Pillar No. 549 on Friday.

The accused has been identified as Manoj Kumar Nishad son Ketru Nishad, resident Ramnagar alias Madarahna, Thana Kapilvastu, District Siddharthnagar. 5.19 grams wet and drought smack (heroin) and a motorcycle (UP55 AQ 6531) were recovered from him. MU against the accused 59/2025, Section 08/22 A case was registered under NDPS Act and sent to court.

The joint team included Police Station Brijesh Singh, Sub -Inspector Sadrul Alamin, Head Constable Vikas Singh, Upendra Prajapati, Constable Vipin Kumar Verma and Sunil Yadav. At the same time, Chief Reserve Bir Kumar Singh and constable Sandeep Kumar Maurya from SSB 43rd Battalion F Company also played a commendable role. Police said that the campaign against illegal business of intoxication would continue, so that the youth in the border area could be prevented from getting intoxicated.
