New Delhi: Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) president Sonia Gandhi has reacted strongly to US attacks in Iran. He said that the Indian National Congress strongly condemns this bombing and planned murders on the land of Iran. Sonia Gandhi warned that the attack could further provoke the war in the region, which will have serious regional and global consequences.
He compared this military action recently to the inhuman actions taken by Israel in Gaza, saying that as innocent citizens were targeted there, the attack in Iran is also putting the life and regional stability of common people in danger. The Congress President insisted that such violent actions are not only against humanity, but also weakens global peace efforts.
Earlier, Sonia Gandhi wrote an article in the English newspaper ‘The Hindu’ condemned the attacks on Iran. In his article, he raised a deep question on the policies of America and Israel. He wrote that when Israel itself is an atomic power, then what is the moral basis, on which Iran is being constantly being targeted, while it does not have any nuclear weapon. He described it as a clear “double standards” of Israel. Sonia Gandhi said that such action not only endanger regional peace, but also seriously hurts international trust and balance.
Sonia Gandhi clearly wrote in her article that Iran has been the year -old trusted and historical friend of India and at such a time this silence of India is the reason for “both anxiety and suffering”. He said that India should speak in a responsible, clear and courageous voice on what happened in Gaza and now what is happening in Iran.
He also wrote serious remarks on the policies of US President Donald Trump that Trump himself criticized America’s “never ending wars” and “Military-Industrial Lobby”, but now he himself is going on the same path. He also reminded that Trump himself had said that Iraq was attacked on the basis of “false allegations”, which was said to have weapons of destruction, which never met.
