According to the State Emergency Operations Center, four of the six people killed in the accident were residents of Uttar Pradesh, one Bihar, and one Uttarakhand. The State Emergency Operations Center said that many people have been injured in the accident, including Indra (Panipat, Haryana), Durga Devi (Delhi), Sheetal (Rampur, Uttar Pradesh), Bhupendra (Badaun, Uttar Pradesh) Arjun (Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh), Kriti (Motihari, Bihar), Raj Kumar (Motihari, Bihar), Ajay (Badiarpur, Bihar), Rohit Sharma (Bareli), Rohit Sharma (Bareli), Rohit Sharma (Barelie), Rohit Sharma (Bihar), Rohit Sharma, Cantt, Uttar Pradesh), Kajal (Moradabad), Aradhana Kumari (Bhagalpur, Bihar) Vinod Shah (Bhagalpur, Bihar), Nirmala (Bareilly), Vishal (Rampur), Anuj (Moradabad), Ekanakshi (Dhampur, Uttar Pradesh), Sandeep (Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh), Roshan Lal, Deeksha (Rampur), Ajay Kumar (Rampur), Ajay Kumar (Rampur) (Rampur), Ajay Kumar, Ajay Kumar Is included. Apart from this, 23 injured are being treated in the district hospital Haridwar and information about other injured is being gathered.
One injured said, “I fell down during the stampede. Some people said that there was a fight and there was a lot of crowd in the temple during the accident, due to which I was also hurt.” Another injured said, “There was a lot of crowd. Somebody shouted that there was a short circuit. After this, some people said that darshan in the temple will not be possible, and after that people started running around. There was a lot of crowd at the time of the incident. If there was no wall, many people would fall straight into the ditch.”
Sandeep Kumar, PRO of AIIMS Rishikesh, said that a tragic accident has taken place in the Mansa Devi temple in Haridwar. In this, 6 people have died and 15 serious injured have been admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh. The injured are being treated under the supervision of Dr. Madhur Uniyal. One of the 15 injured has been discharged. The rest have been seriously injured. Most of the injured have chest injury and some injured have a multiple fracture. All the injured are undergoing treatment.
