New Delhi. NCP chief Sharad Pawar said on Sunday that India’s decision to stay away from voting on the draft proposal Gaza Ceasefire is not according to its foreign policy and this will create confusion about the country at the global level. India has kept itself away from voting on the resolution seeking ‘immediate, unconditional and permanent’ ceasefire in Gaza at the United Nations General Assembly.
Addressing a meeting of party workers in Mumbai, the former Defense Minister said that India has always taken a stand to protect humanity and opposed the killing of innocent people.
What did Pawar say on the upcoming elections?
Sharad Pawar said, “The cadre of NCP (SP) is strong and determined to struggle despite political failures.” He appealed to party workers to gear up for the upcoming elections of local bodies. He said that local leaders of the party will decide whether the elections will be contes alone or with colleagues (Shiv Sena-UBT and Congress).
Sharad Pawar said that the city and district level units will jointly discuss the strategy and finalize the roadmap for the elections.
Pawar said that the election of local bodies empower the workers and create a new leadership. Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections will be like national elections as this city shows the way to the country.
