He has approached the Supreme Court on this matter and has requested a quick hearing. On Monday, Minister Vijay Shah made a disputed statement without naming Qureshi during a public event in a rural area of Indore district. Shah had clearly pointed to Colonel Qureshi, saying, “We sent our own sister to teach them a lesson.”
After the statement came out, the Madhya Pradesh High Court took automatic cognizance and said that an FIR should be lodged on this matter. However, after the controversy escalated, Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, a minister in the Madhya Pradesh government, released a one -minute 13 -second video on the social media platform ‘X’ apologized for his controversial remarks against Colonel Sophia Qureshi.
