New Delhi . Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan (Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan) said that Corn Production in India is aiming to double by 2047 (the target is to double by 2047).

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said on Monday that agriculture is still the backbone of the Indian economy and the farmer is the soul of the economy. He further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our policy is to ensure the food security of the country, to increase the income of farmers and make farming profitable.
At the 11th Mecca Conference organized by FICCI, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, “Mecca production in the 90s was 10 million tonnes, which has increased to about 42.3 million tonnes. At the same time, maize production with the resolution of developed India can increase to 86.10 million tonnes by 2047.”

The Union Minister said that the average maize production in India is 3.7 tonnes per hectare. However, the good thing is that maize production in states like West Bengal and Bihar is higher than the national average, which needs to be increased overall. Honoring the farmers who set new records in maize production, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that I congratulate these farmers. He said that to connect farmers with scientists, we worked to connect the lab with the land through the ‘developed Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ among the farmers.

The Union Minister said, “Under this campaign, about 11 thousand scientists reached more than 60 thousand villages. We saw that the production grows in the field and scientists are working in the lab. The farmer was doing separate work, the scientist was doing a separate work. We decided that we decided to eliminate the distance of lab and land and add them.”

Union Minister Chauhan further said, “Mecca has become the third largest crop, although India will have to make efforts to come forward in terms of production. Many types of research is needed due to low starch.” He said that the production of maize in the country can be increased with positive efforts.
