This matter better

New Delhi. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said on Sunday that he was not aware of the real reason behind the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. He said that this matter is between Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, so tell the same what happened really. Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Kharge said that Dhankhar always favored the government.

He said that whenever the opposition tried to raise the issues, whether it is related to farmers or poor or related to foreign policy, he never allowed the opposition to do so. Asked whether Dhankhar was forced to resign due to speaking in favor of farmers, Kharge said, “I do not know all this.” He (Dhankhar) always remained in favor of the government. They should tell what happened.

Kharge said that when we raised many issues related to farmers, poor, international issues or foreign policy, they never gave us a chance. When we tried to raise issues by giving notice on issues like atrocities on poor, women, Dalits and underprivileged, they did not give us a chance. This (the reason for the resignation of Dhankhar’s Vice Presidential post) is a case between him and Modi. We have no information about this.

Along with this, Kharge also reacted to the question of replacing the Karnataka Congress President. He said that we cannot say anything on this, we will talk when the time comes. Currently Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar holds the post of President of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) for extended tenure. The state is raising the voice of changing them within the ruling Congress, as they hold two major positions. Significantly, on the evening of July 21, Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from his post. Also cited health reasons behind his resignation. This sudden step has intensified the discussion in political circles.
