Mathura News: On the occasion of the second Monday of Sawan, a huge masses of devotees thronged the Chintaharan Mahadev Temple on the banks of Yamuna. A crowd of devotees started gathering from two o’clock on Sunday night, and the process of climbing Dank Kawad started from four in the morning. The temple complex echoed with the slogans of “Har Har Mahadev” and “Jai-Jakar”, while the devotees were seen to be engaged in devotion to the tune of Shiva hymns along the Yamuna.
Mahant Keshav Das Maharaj, the servant of the temple, stated the glory of Chintaharan Mahadev and said that the concerns of all the devotees who come here are removed. He told that by offering a lotta water in this temple, one gets fruit equal to offering water to one thousand eight Shivalingas. Mahanta also mentioned a story of the Dwapar Yuga, in which Lord Krishna had shown the universe in the face by eating soil, which caused Maa Yashoda to be worried. Then Lord Krishna worshiped his adorable Shiva, and Shiva appeared and removed the concerns of Mother Yashoda. Since then, anxiety Mahadev is sitting here.
The administration was also ready in view of the huge crowd of devotees and their enthusiasm. ADG Agra Anupam Kulshrestha and SSP Mathura Shlok Kumar visited the temple along with SP Dehat Suresh Chandra Rawat. The ADG specially inspected the entrance and exit gate of the devotees and gave necessary guidelines to the officers. After inspection, the ADG and SSP themselves performed prayers and aarti in the temple.
SP Rural Suresh Chandra Rawat said that the ADG reviewed the mob management and security arrangements. Several officials including SSP Shlok Kumar, SP Rural Suresh Chandra Rawat, CO Sanjeev Kumar Rai and CO Dharmendra Chauhan were present on the occasion, which ensured that the devotees should not have any kind of inconvenience and the philosophy should be done smoothly.
