Udaipur Files Controversy: Controversy over the film based on the murder of Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur, Rajasthan has intensified. Following the decision of Muslim organizations and his lawyer Kapil Sibal to stay in court, Kanhaiyalal’s wife Jashoda has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting the release of the film. He says that the actual story of Kanhaiyalal’s murder in the film has been presented properly and there is no wrong fact.
Kanhaiyalal’s wife’s painful statement
In the letter, Jashoda wrote, ‘The film made on the murder of my husband has been stayed in court by Muslim organizations and his lawyer Kapil Sibal. If I have seen the film myself, it is the story of his murder. Three years ago, he was killed and now he is saying Vakil Kapil Sibal, which happened cannot be shown in the film. Children are saying that the Modi government will now decide on the film. You know how wrong it was to us and now the same people are going to the court, who have killed them. I pray to you to release this film so that the whole world can know the truth.
After this, Jashoda also requested to meet PM Modi, for which he demanded time. Jashoda wrote in the letter, ‘I want to come to Delhi with both my children and meet you, so give me my time.’
Why did the court stop the film?
The Udaipur files were scheduled to release on July 11. But a day before the release, the Delhi High Court has given two days to the petitioners to move to the center, stopping the release of this film. In fact, the accused in this case had said in the court that after the release of this film, the possibility of a fair hearing of their case could be in danger, after which the bench of Justices DK Upadhyay and Aneesh Dayal stopped the film’s release.
