Up congress: The Uttar Pradesh Congress has prepared for major changes in the organization to prepare for the upcoming elections. The Congress party has decided to give top priority to social justice in the formation of district and city units. According to party sources, at least 60 percent of the posts in the new structure will be given to backward classes (OBCs) and Scheduled Castes (SC) leaders. This decision has been taken under Rahul Gandhi’s caste justice campaign.
All classes will be represented
Confirming the decision, Uttar Pradesh in -charge Avinash Pandey said that it is necessary to represent all sections of the society in the Congress organization in a big, diverse state like Uttar Pradesh. Our effort is to ensure the participation of the deprived, backward and Dalit society at every level of the organization. This will strengthen the ground’s grassroots, people will get confidence, Congress is in favor of real social justice.
Congress not limited to slogans
Uttar Pradesh President Ajay Rai said that the Congress no longer wants to be limited to slogans, but it is also committed to implement social justice in organizationally. Soon the process of reorganization of committees will be initiated in all districts, where at least 60 percent of the posts will be received by Obesi, AC and ST class workers. Youth and women will also be given adequate representation in the organization.
Debate on social justice
Along with this, preference will be given to workers of backward and Dalit classes, who have played an active role in the party for a long time. The Congress party has taken this step at a time when the debate about ethnic census and social justice in the state is intensified. In Uttar Pradesh, other regional parties including Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party have also raised their voice on this issue. The steps which can be beneficial for the Congress party.
Indication to the new era of the party
The Congress party is working on a strategy to challenge such parties on the issue of social justice. On the one hand, this will strengthen the social base of the party, on the other hand the organization will get new energy and ground strengthening. However, the time will tell how much its effect will be seen in the upcoming 2027 assembly elections. The new use of Congress indicates a new era different from the old politics of the party.
