Lucknow News: The players performed brilliantly at the Uttar Pradesh State Junior (Under-19) Badminton Competition-2025 held at the State Badminton Academy in Gomti Nagar. This competition was organized under the aegis of Lucknow District Badminton Association. In this competition, Guru Govind Singh Sports College Lucknow’s emerging badminton player Kapil Salonia has won his talent by winning the triple title in the boys category.
Kapil Salonia won three titles
Kapil Salonia of Lucknow defeated Hussain Ansari of Gorakhpur 21-18, 21-11 in straight sets in the final of the boys singles category. After this, Kapil, in the mixed doubles, has named the second title by defeating Divyanshi Gautam and Sanrekh Chaurasia 11-21, 21-16, 21-17 in a tough match, while pairing with Aditya Yadav of Gorakhpur. At the same time, the third title Kapil along with Abhishek Kushwaha of Gorakhpur in the boys doubles category defeated Deong Tomar of Moradabad and Sanrekh Chaurasia of Jhansi 21-17 21-16.
Tournament concludes with final
This triple skin performance made Kapil the star of the competition. The girl’s singles category saw a thorn collision. Taranjit Kaur of Moradabad defeated Agra’s divinity Gautam 17-21 21-10, 21-12 to capture the title. In the girls doubles category, the pair of Aditya Yadav of Gorakhpur and Riddhima Singh of Moradabad named Kirat Chaudhary and Rudrakshi Rana of Ghaziabad 21-9 21-13 in straight sets. Thus the tournament ended with magnificent matches.

At the award distribution ceremony of the competition, Uttar Pradesh Badminton Association Chairman Dr. Navneet Sehgal, UP Badminton Association Chairman Viraj Sagar Das honored the winning players with cash, trophy, medal and citation. He boosted the morale of the players and blessed for a bright future. On this occasion, UP Badminton Association Secretary Dr. Sudharma Singh, Vice President Arun Kakkar, Lucknow District Secretary Anil Dhyani, Chief judge Ravindra Chauhan, Dr. Yogesh Shetty, Dr. Anurag Dixit and many sports lovers and officials were present.
