– HSSC board busted gang busted by making fake websites
Lucknow News: The thugs of UP have now targeted the Haryana Staff Selection Commission to cheat. This was revealed when a case of cheating the candidates has come up from the fake website, which looks like registration of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission’s Com Eligibility Examination 2025. This fake website was recently registered on the hostinger domain and through this, the candidates were being charged money through QR code in the name of registration fee.
Action taken on the complaint of the department
On receiving the information of the case, the HSSC department took immediate cognizance and registered a case in Panchkula Sector 5 Police Station. While investigating the case, the police revealed the case in detaining four accused from Uttar Pradesh Gorakhpur. After this, the cyber police team engaged in investigation took action and first removed the fake website from Google. So that the candidates are saved from cheating.
Teams formed to investigate under the supervision of Panchkula Deputy Commissioner
Explain that as soon as the matter is known, Deputy Commissioner of Police Panchkula Srishti Gupta is monitoring the entire matter and is constantly taking updates from the investigation teams. Three teams were formed by the cyber police station, during whose action four accused have been detained from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, one from Kurukshetra in Haryana and one from Fatehabad. Out of which the police has also taken into custody by the police who had created a fake website link.
Targeting candidates like this
In the investigation of cyber experts, it has been clear that the thugs have cheated around Rs 22,530 from 77 candidates through fake websites. The accused used to charge candidates from the website in the name of applying form. After filling the form, he used to take money by sending QR code to take fees.
DCP Crime Amit Dahiya appealed to students
As soon as the fake website case was revealed, DCP Crime Amit Dahiya of Haryana Police appealed to the youths that the thugs caught are continuously questioning. Along with this, it is also being ascertained from all the accused that even before this, the government department has done the work of cheating people from which website.
Candidates should pay attention to these things in the website
DCP Crime said that the candidates preparing for competitive exams should only use the official website with .gov.in domain and do not pay any unauthorized links, QR code or UPI ID. Caution is the greatest rescue in cases of cyber fraud.
