Uttarakhand news: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the Bhagwati Surkanda Maa Divya Jodh Vimochan ceremony organized by the Himalayan Heritage Society at IRDT Auditorium Dehradun on Saturday. The Chief Minister released Judra on Surkanda Devi of Jachar singer Pritam Bharatwan.
The Chief Minister said that through Jagaro, our ancestors established a dialogue with nature, mountains, rivers and gods. Our aware tradition is as deep as Veda mantras, which are not only sung but also experienced. Jawa has a power, not words, every lyrics, every rhythm and drums have a spiritual power, which invites divinity. Therefore, it is the duty of all of us to encourage such efforts. The Chief Minister said that our government is constantly making efforts to preserve cultural heritage.
Addressing the program, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that mother Surkanda Devi is a symbol of our folk faith, culture and spiritual tradition. The amazing work of giving a lively form of his history, glory and glorious story through movies has been done by the great folk singer of our state, Mr. Pritam Bharatwan ji, is exemplary.
Will play an important role in connecting the new generation with its roots
Chief Minister Dhami said that this effort of Pritam Bharatwan will not only bring the glory of Maa Surkanda to the people, but will also play an important role in connecting our new generation with its roots. The temple of mother Surkanda Devi, one of the 52 Shaktipeeths, is the center of reverence and power of the people. Folklore has been sung here for centuries, Jawan has been sung. Today, when this invaluable heritage is cherished through music, movies, and cultural crafts, this effort is very commendable.
The Chief Minister called upon the people of the state to always be connected with their roots and ensure their contribution in spreading the folk traditions of Uttarakhand to the people. He said that the culture, traditions and heritage of Uttarakhand are part of our soul.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today with the announcement of “Vikas and Heritage” across India, unprecedented development works are being done on one side. With the guidance and cooperation of Prime Minister Modi, our state government is also constantly striving for the development of the state as well as the conservation of cultural heritage.
Projects operated at a cost of crores
The Chief Minister said that projects are being operated at a cost of crores for revival and beautification of the reconstruction and beautification of Manaskhand’s mythological temples along with reconstruction works in Kedarnath Dham and Shri Badrinath Dham. Along with this, we are also working fast on the construction of Haridwar-Rishikesh Ganga Corridor and Sharda Corridor. Earlier, mother had to walk to go to Surkanda Devi temple, but our government started operating the ropeway till the temple. A large number of spectators were present on the occasion including Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal, Judra singer Pritam Bharatwan.
