New Delhi. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar’s sudden health deteriorated after the Kumaun University program ended. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar reached Haldwani on a three -day Uttarakhand tour on Wednesday. He was welcomed by Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Seni) on Haldwani Army Heliped.
Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya, MP Ajay Bhatt, Haldwani Mayor Gajraj Bisht, Forest and Environment Advisory Committee Vice Chairman Deepak Mahara, Commissioner Kumaon Deepak Rawat, IG Riddh Agarwal, District Magistrate Vandana, SSP Prahlad Narayan Meena and other officials were greeted by the Chief Minister.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was the chief guest at the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Kumaon University in Nainital. In his 45-minute address, he repeatedly mentioned Dr. Mahendra Singh Pal, who was MP in 1989 in the program.
After the program, he embraced Dr. Pal after getting off the stage. He kept talking old for five minutes. Dr. Pal started crying very emotional. Later, Vice President Dhankhar also started crying while hugging Dr. Pal. Then Dhankhar’s health deteriorated. The team of doctors on the spot gave him first aid. After which he left for Raj Bhavan with Governor Gurmeet Singh.
