New Delhi . Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhad said that we are a sovereign nation (we are Sovereign Nation) and take our own decisions (and take our own decisions). No power in the world can instruct India.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar while addressing the 2024 batch trainee officers of the Indian Defense Estate Service (IDES) at the Vice President Enclave said that not affected by external discourse. All decisions in a sovereign nation in this country are taken by its leadership. No power in the world can instruct India how to conduct its matters? He said that we are a nation and part of the international community. We work with solidarity, with coordination. We have mutual respect, diplomatic dialogue. We are sovereign and take our own decisions. He said, “Is it necessary to play every ball? Is it necessary to react to every controversial statement? The player who scores well, leaves bad balls. They are breathtaking, but are not played and players standing in the street are ready for those who play.”
Jagdeep Dhankhar said, “There will be challenges and their aim will be to divide the society. You have seen two global wars. They are uncertain so far. See that destruction, property, of human life and that pain. Ask why it was stopped?
He said that our demographic dividend is a matter of jealousy for the whole world. Our 65 percent of our population is under 35 years of age. India’s average age is 28 years, while China and America have 38–39 and Japan’s 48. You are chosen people. You have got the opportunity to serve India, that of India, which is the sixth part of humanity and look at your workplace, if you work in mind with our civilized values with full devotion, then you can become examples for the country in the use of property management, ecology, environment, herbal garden, sustainable development and modern technology.
He said that one thing that concerns me, when development works in your area are done, then its permission is taken from you. This permission sometimes becomes discretionary and is a victim of delay. I urge to develop a system that people are already aware of what the maximum height of the building can be in an area. Why can’t all this happen on a platform? This is possible in this era of technology. This will provide relief to the public, save expenses and increase transparency.
He expressed concern over the growing trend of coaching centers, saying that coaching should be for skills. Coaching must be to make self -sufficient, but coaching centers across the country are competing for advertising for some limited seats, one, two, three, four pages. And, what is the scene, children’s photos are published with rank. No, this is not India. This should not be marketization and commercialization. We should have faith in the Gurukul system. The youth will have to get out of their narrow circles. There are more opportunities and they are important for nation building. I am not against anyone, but why this association with coaching of education? Three decades later, when we have received a new National Education Policy in consultation with millions, then why coaching? The coach should improve skills. Talking about ‘developed India’, he said, “Our aim is not just to increase the economy, our aim is to develop people. Developed India is not just our dream, it is not our destination now. We are walking in that direction. We are progressing every day and this is a big challenge, because the country has seen extraordinary development in the last 10 years. Now the public has tasted the development. Now the people have not tasted development. There will be water, road near, school or health center and such world -class trains. Now this nation has become the most aspiring nation globally. ”
