Indo-Arican Chamber of Commerce: The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce-North India Council and Swati Foundation jointly organized a special seminar on the theme of Breaking Barriers Women in Leadership and Entrepreneurship in Lucknow. The program was inaugurated by Governor Anandi Ben Patel. The seminar honored the contribution of women in women’s entrepreneurship and leadership.
In the seminar, Governor Anandi Ben Patel made his presence felt as the chief guest, while Dinesh Pratap Singh, Minister of State, folk singer Padmashree Malini Awasthi and Namrata Pathak gave their participation as special guests. On this occasion, 14 women entrepreneurs of the state were honored who surpassed their difficulties and challenges and achieved new heights of success.
Effective steps towards change in society
Honored women included Sunaina Chaudhary, Namrata Pathak, Shailaja Arora, Dr. Kavita Somani, Ganjan Aggarwal, Mamta Kohli, Anita Srivastava, Dr. Nina Bhasin, Kashish Tyagi, Anita Mishra, Smriti Bansal and Shikha Gupta. All of them have made unique contribution in their respective fields, whether it is social work, service in the medical field, or effort for women empowerment.
Need for awareness and change in society
On this special occasion, Governor Anandi Ben Patel, in his address, insisted on the need for education and training to become self -sufficient of women and said that there is a need to campaign on a large scale to make women aware. In addition, he stressed the need to benefit government schemes to improve the situation of women, especially in rural areas. At the same time, former minister Swati Singh said that leadership ability does not come only by getting the post, but it develops only by working in the society. If women have to move forward, they have to cross many barriers, and this is possible only when they recognize their struggles and use them as inspiration.
Special role of women in health services
During this, Reena Singh, chairperson of Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, said that Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandi Ben Patel is Gauravashi Governor, and it is a matter of great pride. He informed that for the past several years, IACC’s Lucknow Chapter has been working continuously for the policy Advocacy with Uttar Pradesh. So at the same time, Dr. Upasana Arora, Executive Council Member, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce said that 50 percent of the workforce in the health sector is of women. Nurse, midwife, ASHA workers etc. are the highest number of women. Women have a special role in health services.
Former National President Dr. Lalit Bhasin said that women have always contributed to society and nation. Women have written their own success on the strength of hard work. Today, women are occupied in all high positions. At the same time, social activist Namrata Pathak said that this form is organized from time to time by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce. I like it very much.
Woman power has broken the barriers
Padmashree Malini Awasthi said that keep the family and society connected, break the barriers. Women are moving forward in all areas by breaking the barriers. Today, women have made their special place in all areas of army, police, politics, medicine, education, acting, music etc. At the same time, the special guest Minister of State, Dinesh Pratap Singh said that Nari Shakti has broken the barriers, today there is no barrier in front of him. Every type of power is only with maternal power. Women have progressed in every field.
Breaking barriers seminar a new beginning
This seminar was not only an attempt to recognize women’s struggle and success, but also proved to be an important initiative towards taking necessary steps to carry forward the contribution of women to the society. The organizers urged all the attendees to contribute towards the empowerment of women through such an event and give their support to bring positive changes in the society.
