Azamgarh News: Shani Ram, age 18, died under suspicious circumstances near Mahuja Nevada of Bardah police station area of Azamgarh district. The family of Shani has accused a monk of murder, while the Sadhu says that the bike riders molested and Shani died in the accident. Police has started the investigation of the matter.

Shani Ram, a resident of Habatpur village in Phulpur Kotwali area, was going to Chak Rasulpur Bakshpur village of Baradah police station area to attend the wedding ceremony of his relative. The last (20) and Pawan (19) were riding on Shani’s bike. At around 10 pm, there was a dispute with the monk about asking the way near Mahuja Nevada.

Women are considered to be molesting due to long hair

Family members allege that the monk called some people and assaulted Shani, which led to his death. Sadhu said that due to his long hair, the bike riders started molesting her as a woman. When some people of the village reached the spot, the bike riders started running away. During this time, Shani’s bike uncontrolled and fell into a roadside pit, injuring the three youths. The monk has denied allegations of assault. The police have sent the body for postmortem and other people, including the monk, are being questioned. Baradah Police Station Rajiv Kumar Singh said that the matter is being investigated intense.
